Who Are the Baril Sisters?
Sexy, feminine and practical describe both LAVIT lingerie and the three sisters behind LAVIT – Laura, Vivi and Tina Baril.
Growing up in Mexico City and the United States, each sister specialized in a different career field before joining together and translating their unique personalities and gifts into one stylish lingerie line.
In November 2004, Laura, the business-savvy fashionista, Vivi, the creative eye and Tina, the world-traveler teamed up to create LAVIT lingerie – delicate and beautiful pieces that every woman can feel beautiful and comfortable in.
Laura Baril
Laura Baril, the business-savvy fashionista of the family, has had a successful career within a wide array of fashion and beauty industries. Laura first gained an eye for beauty trends at the Davide Michelangelo Salon in Beverly Hills. Her talent quickly propelled her to a position as the Marketing and Sales Manager for Salinas Swimwear of La Jolla where she promoted cutting-edge swimwear to prominent fashion editors. Most recently, Laura worked for Charles David of California as a top account executive.
Laura graduated with honors from the California State University at Dominguez Hills, where she received a Bachelors of Science in Accounting.
Working for recognizable brands and successful up-and-comers has given Laura a solid foundation within the fashion and beauty industry. Laura hopes to build upon this foundation with the creation of LAVIT. She currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
Vivi Baril
As the creative eye of the family, Vivi Baril’s natural eye for color and fashion design has led Hollywood stylists, publicists, celebrities, and wardrobe stylists all seeking her knowledge on the next big trend.
Vivi’s gift in color and design has been built and highly developed through three prestigious fashion and design schools. Vivi gained top honors at both Otis Parsons School and FIDM where she specialized in graphic design. Adding to her artistic ability, Vivi gained an additional Bachelor of Arts degree from the American College for the Applied Arts.
After graduating with top honors from all three fashion and design schools, Vivi successfully used her skillful eye for fashion and accessory trends within Beverly Hills, where she quickly became a top consultant and buyer for both international and domestic accessory vendors. From there, Vivi developed a diverse client list throughout all of Hollywood.
Prior to developing her eye for design, Vivi worked as a television producer for LOGOVISION, one of the top television studios in Mexico. She currently resides in Los Angeles.
Tina Baril-Goodman
Tina Baril-Goodman’s passion for fashion was acquired through her world travels. Tina has been able to recognize world-wide trends and develop an appreciation for the many facets of the fashion industry. When not traveling, Tina works within the legal industry and serves as the overseer of all legal matters related to LAVIT lingerie.
After graduating with honors from the University of California Los Angeles in Spanish and Latin American Studies. Tina continued her education by obtaining her law degree at the University of Laverne Law School where she received her Juris Doctorate.
Tina resides in Los Angeles with her husband and two children.
